Louisiana Music Teachers Association 2026 Conference will be held at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches October 8-10, 2026. Allow me to express my gratitude for the support of Dr. Chialing Hsieh, Dr. Francis Yang, and Tamera Gunter for their efficient help and dedication in serving as site hosts for this event. You will not want to miss this convention!
Van Cliburn finalist Carter Johnson will be our featured artist. In addition to his performance, he will give a Piano Masterclass, as well as serve as judge for our Elementary Competition and the Louisiana MTNA Competitions.
Our esteemed clinician will be Dr. Kasandra Keeling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has agreed to give three presentations, two on piano technique and one on repertory by women composers. Stay tuned for more definitive information on her talks! She is a vibrant and experienced speaker that is sure to expand your teaching approaches.
