The LMTA Piano Ensemble Festival is a multi-piano ensemble held in June on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, LA. It is a two-day event comprised of rehearsals, coaching, and group activities all culminating in a large ensemble concert on Sunday afternoon. Students learn duet literature with a partner, gain audition and rehearsal experience, and perform in a large ensemble concert. In addition, our event is held in conjunction with the Chamber Piano Institute directed by Ana Maria Otamendi and Elena Lacheva. Our students will have the benefit of their faculty and DMA students for coaching and conductors for the concert. They will also be able to attend a collaborative piano recital given by students and faculty of the CPI on Saturday evening.

Registration and fees
- Online registration is April 13th-May 25th 2024.
- Fees are $70/student for members and $80/student for non-members.
- Students must register with a partner.

auditions
- Video Auditions will be submitted via unlisted YouTube videos and are due no later than 5pm, Saturday, May 25, 2024.

ensemble weekend events
Saturday, June 15th:
Students will arrive at LSU by 10am and enter the School of Music where they will register their attendance and go to the Recital Hall for an opening assembly.
Sunday June 16th:
Dress rehearsals will be assigned for each level Sunday morning.
The concert is at 3pm. The final concert is free and open to the public.
